Witney Blanket Hall is very pleased to be one of the hosts for Oxfordshire Arts Weeks, the county's biggest and best visual arts festival.

Vikki Lafford Garside
Vikki creates wearable art pieces and framed textile art from her studio in the heart of Witney. Her work is inspired by the exquisite beauty, colours and intricate detail found in nature. Using machine and hand embroidery, cutwork, heat manipulation and hand painting techniques, she transforms simple fabrics and thread into unique and entirely wearable, decorative and colourful accessories to wear and treasure.
Amanda Hislop
Amanda enjoys colour and texture, instilled through her training in Woven Textiles developing an intuitive response to the tactile nature of textile materials inspired by land sea sky and trees. She has developed a way of working which gives freedom beyond the restraints of woven fabric, combining her love of painting with machine and stitched threads to draw and integrate texture into the surface of cloth and paper.
Sarah Roche
"I’ve always enjoyed creating things but only really found my medium when I moved with my family up to the Yorkshire Dales in 2012. Since then, inspired every time I walked out of my front door by the beautiful surroundings, I came to love the process of felting – effectively using wool to ‘paint’ - the landscape around me. Working intuitively, I laid dyed Merino wool tops and Blue-faced Leicester curls to imitate something of the landscape and the mood of that wonderful part of the world.
Recently, having moved back down to Oxfordshire where I grew up, I've re-immersed myself in the rolling Cotswold Hills where memories of happy childhood wanderings are providing fresh inspiration! And of course every piece is unique... I couldn't replicate them, even if I wanted to!”
