Witney is a great town to visit, with everything sitting comfortably on and around the magnificent High Street. So if you're in Witney... you are probably not more than ten minutes walk away, and maybe a lot less!

WITNEY BLANKET HALL is open to all visitors all year (except over Christmas to New Year) on the following days and times:

Wednesday: 10am to 5pm

Thursday: 10am to 5pm

Friday: 10am to 5pm

Saturday: 10am to 5pm

There is no need to book, and there is no entrance charge (although we do welcome donations towards maintenance costs.)

You can explore the various parts of the Hall, including The Great Room upstairs, and the courtyard and garden leading down by the river.

Then there is our famous licensed Pieshop for tea and coffee, cakes, pies (of course), and a selection of wines, beers, and ciders. (Whenever the weather allows, you are welcome to eat outside.) See our new menu HERE

And, of course, there is the Blanket Hall Shop, for a fine selection of woollen throws (where would Witney be without blankets?) and other accessories, curios, games, books... and lots more!

ARRIVING AT WITNEY BLANKET HALL

By car: You can drop off passengers outside the door of the Blanket Hall, and park about two minutes walk away in the Witan Way carpark. (All parking is free in Witney.)

By Bus: Witney is well served with buses from Oxford, and other Cotswold towns.

On foot: Witney is a great town to explore, and there is also a 'blanket trail' around the town which you can follow to better understand the development of our local 'blanket heritage.' (A printed guide is available from the Blanket Hall.)

EVENTS AT WITNEY BLANKET HALL

There are all sorts of events held at the blanket Hall... Pie nights, lectures, small concerts and theatrical 'happenings', Christmas fairs.... If you would like to be kept in touch with what is going on, and with special offers on woollen throws and our annual shop sale...

Do please send us your name and email address. (We promise not to use the information for any other purpose.)
